News date: 22 April 2026
Do you have old chargers, used batteries, or unused electronic devices at home? Perfect timing – on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, at G City Promenada you can exchange your e-waste for spring flower seedlings! 🌱
How does it work?
“Get a plant for your e-waste” is an eco-friendly initiative returning to Promenada, encouraging responsible disposal of electronic waste. Instead of throwing used batteries or electronics into regular bins – where they can harm the environment – bring them to a designated collection point and receive something green in return.
Simply visit G City Promenada on Saturday, May 9 and bring your unwanted e-waste. In exchange, you’ll receive one of the beautiful plants provided by a trusted local nursery.
It’s an easy way to do something good for the environment and take home a new green companion at the same time.
What can you bring?
You don’t need a lot – even small items you have at home will do. Bring:
• at least 10 used batteries
• or small electrical items – e.g. a charger, power adapter, headphones
• or one small/medium electronic device – e.g. a phone, hair dryer, mixer, or similar
Each person can receive up to 3 plants.
📌 Note: Limited number of plants available.
Available plants:
geraniums, dahlias, carnations, petunias (surfinia), impatiens
Why is it worth it?
• you help protect the environment – e-waste contains harmful substances
• you get a plant to decorate your home or balcony
• you declutter your home and get rid of unused items
• you set a good example and build eco-friendly habits
🌱 Every change starts with a small step – bring your e-waste and leave with a new plant!
